Rhaphidophora hongkongensis Variegated

  • Product Info

Rhaphidophora hongkongensis ‘Variegated’ is a striking climbing aroid with beautiful green leaves decorated with patches of cream and pale yellow variegation. Each leaf has its own pattern, making this a lovely choice for collectors who enjoy plants with a little individuality.

With its climbing growth habit and tropical foliage, it looks great trained up a moss pole or plant support, where the leaves can develop as the plant matures. A less common find for your indoor jungle, and a great way to add something a little different to your aroid collection.

  • Care guide:

    Light:
Bright, indirect light is best to help maintain the variegation. Avoid strong direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves. Too little light may lead to slower growth and less pronounced variegation.

    Water:
Allow the top couple of centimetres of soil to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly, then let excess water drain away. Avoid keeping the roots constantly wet.

    Soil:
Use a chunky, airy aroid mix with good drainage. A blend of houseplant compost, orchid bark and perlite helps keep the roots healthy while allowing excess water to escape.

  • Nursery Pot Size:

    14cm
