Raphidophora Decursiva

  • Product Info

Raphidophora decursiva is a striking climbing aroid known for its dramatic, deeply lobed leaves that become more impressive with age. As the plant matures, its foliage transforms from simple juvenile shapes into long, sculptural leaves with bold natural splits, giving it a powerful architectural presence.

  • Care guide:

    Light:
Bright, indirect light is ideal. It tolerates medium light but growth will be slower and leaves may stay smaller with fewer splits. Avoid prolonged direct sun, especially south-facing windows, as this can scorch the foliage.

    Water:
Water when the top few centimetres of soil have dried out. Keep the soil lightly moist but never waterlogged. Reduce watering slightly in winter when growth slows.

    Soil:
Use a chunky, well-draining aroid mix that allows air to reach the roots. A blend containing potting compost, bark, perlite, and a small amount of coco coir or peat works well.

    Humidity:
Average indoor humidity is acceptable, but higher humidity encourages larger leaves and stronger growth. Aim for moderate to high humidity where possible, especially during winter when central heating can dry the air.
