Maidenhair Fern

Adiantum Fragrans

  • Product Info

Adiantum fragrans, commonly known as maidenhair fern, is a delicate and graceful plant with soft, fan-shaped leaflets on thin black stems. Its lush, airy foliage adds a touch of elegance to indoor spaces. Ideal for humid environments, it's perfect for bathrooms, terrariums, or shaded spots in the home.

  • Care guide:

    Light:
Adiantum fragrans, or maidenhair fern, thrives in bright, indirect light. It prefers a spot with filtered sunlight and does not tolerate direct sun, which can scorch its delicate fronds. Low light can slow growth but is generally tolerated.

    Watering:
Keep the soil consistently moist, never allowing it to dry out completely. Water thoroughly when the surface feels slightly dry, and increase humidity by misting or placing the pot on a humidity tray. Avoid letting the plant sit in water.

    Soil and repotting:
Use a light, well-draining potting mix that retains moisture without becoming soggy. A mix with added perlite or bark works well. Repot every 1–2 years or when the fern becomes root-bound, ideally in spring to support new growth.
