    Introduce a truly bizarre, geometric wonder to your collection with Euphorbia globosa, also known as the Globose Spurge. Native to the rocky hillsides of South Africa’s Eastern Cape, this dwarf, spineless succulent looks like a cluster of green, scaly marbles stacked on top of one another. As it grows, it forms thick, fascinating cushions of spherical, segmented branches that spread outwards. When spring arrives, it produces unique, star-like, greenish-yellow flowers on remarkably long, thin stalks, creating a wild, alien-like display that is highly coveted by collectors of oddities.

  • Care guide:

    Light:
    This sun-loving succulent thrives in bright, direct sunlight to maintain its compact, rounded shape. If grown indoors, place it on your sunniest windowsill, preferably south- or west-facing, to keep the "marbles" from stretching out and losing their characteristic globular form.

    Water:
    Keep this plant on the drier side. Water thoroughly only when the soil has dried out completely, and reduce watering to a bare minimum during the winter dormancy months to protect the roots.

    Soil:
    Excellent drainage is critical to prevent rot. Plant in a loose, sandy, and gritty potting mix composed of at least 50% mineral grit, such as pumice, perlite, coarse sand, or fine gravel, combined with a standard cactus soil.
