To get more of the stunning namesake stems and leaves of your Alocasia, keep it in bright indirect light away from cold drafts and feed it at least once a month from March till October. Water regularly in the warmer months, letting no more than the top soil dry between watering, while allowing slightly more to dry in the colder months of the year. Ideally use only filtered or rainwater to prevent any brown spots or edging on the green arrowhead leaves.
Alocasia hates cold drafts, make sure it’s kept in a spot that doesn’t dip below 10 C and is out of the path of any drafts to keep it happy. The same applies to water, so try to use lukewarm or room temperature water to avoid shocking its roots.
