Chinese Money Plant

Pilea peperomioides

  • Product Info

Pilea Peperomioides, also known as the Chinese money plant, will love your bright windows. Provide it with bright dappled sun in Winter and just bright indirect light in Summer for the best growth. Allow it to dry between watering and fertilise once a month in the spring and summer seasons to be rewarded with plenty of those trademark green leaves that are so instantly recognisable.
  • Care guide:

    Light:
Chinese Money Plant prefers bright, indirect light. It can tolerate some direct sunlight, but too much can cause the leaves to scorch. Low light conditions may result in slower growth and smaller leaves, so try to find a spot with consistent, gentle light for optimal growth.

    Watering:
Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil is dry to the touch. Avoid overwatering, as the plant is susceptible to root rot. During the winter months, reduce watering as the plant’s growth slows down.

    Fertilizing:
Feed every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, diluted liquid fertilizer. Chinese Money Plant doesn’t require heavy feeding, so use a half-strength solution to encourage healthy growth. Avoid fertilizing in the fall and winter when the plant is not actively growing.
