Tillandsia Air Plant

  • Product Info

Meet the Tillandsia, better known as the Air Plant - a little plant with a pretty cool trick. Unlike most houseplants, it doesn’t need soil to grow, taking in water and nutrients through its leaves instead.

With its sculptural shape and unusual silvery-green foliage, it’s perfect for adding a bit of greenery to shelves, desks, terrariums or decorative displays. Pop it in a hanging holder, place it on a piece of driftwood or let its natural shape do the talking.

Small, unusual and easy to get creative with, an Air Plant is a great choice if you fancy something a little different from your usual houseplants.

  • Care guide:

    Light:
Bright, indirect light is ideal. A little gentle morning or evening sunshine is fine, but avoid strong direct sun that can dry out or scorch the leaves.

    Water:
Give your Air Plant a good soak in room-temperature water for around 20–30 minutes once a week, adjusting depending on how warm and dry your home is. Shake off excess water and let it dry completely within a few hours to prevent rot. In hot weather, it may need watering more often.

    Tips:
Good airflow is essential, so avoid keeping your Air Plant constantly damp or in a closed container without ventilation. If the leaf tips turn brown or curl excessively, it may need more water or humidity.
