Light:
This plant thrives in bright, indirect light. It can adapt to medium light conditions, but growth may slow down. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight, as the rays can scorch its uniquely shaped leaves.
Watering:
Water your Philodendron Florida Green when the top inch or two of soil feels dry to the touch. It's important to water thoroughly, allowing excess water to drain out of the pot. Make sure the plant never sits in standing water, as this can lead to root rot. It's better to slightly underwater than overwater.
Repotting:
Repot the plant every one to two years or when you notice its roots becoming crowded or circling the bottom of the pot. Use a chunky, well-draining aroid mix—something like potting soil combined with perlite, orchid bark, or coco coir to promote airflow and drainage.
Tips:
Regularly wipe the leaves to keep them dust-free and able to photosynthesize efficiently. Support the plant with a moss pole or stake if you want to encourage upward, vining growth.
