Gymnocalycium Mihanovichii flowering

  • Product Info

Looking to brighten up your space? Gymnocalycium mihanovichii, better known as the Moon Cactus, is a fun and colorful choice. Its bright, round top comes in shades like pink, red, or yellow and is grafted onto a green cactus base. The colorful top can't grow on its own because it doesn't produce chlorophyll, so it relies on the green cactus to help it thrive. Small, compact, and easy to care for, it's the perfect plant for a sunny desk, windowsill, or shelf.

  • Care guide:

    Light:
This colorful little gem loves bright, indirect sunlight. While the green base can handle plenty of sun, the neon top is a bit sensitive and can easily bleach or get sunburned if it sits in harsh, direct afternoon rays. A bright windowsill with filtered light is its absolute happy place.

    Water:
Keep things easy and follow the "soak and dry" method. Let the soil dry out completely before giving it a thorough watering, making sure all the excess water drains out the bottom. Cut way back on watering during the winter months, as stagnant water is the easiest way to cause rot.

    Soil:
Excellent drainage is essential to keep this cactus happy. Use a gritty, loose cactus and succulent potting mix. You can easily mix standard potting soil with a heavy amount of perlite, pumice, or coarse sand to make sure water moves through the pot quickly.

  • Nursery Pot Size:

    8cm
