Asparagus Fern

Asparagus setaceus

  • Product Info

With its upright arms of bright green needle-like leaves, Asparagus Fern is a colourful and textural addition to any interior. Water regularly in the growing season but less in winter. In areas of low humidity mist the leaves with water on a regular basis, or place the pot on pebbles in a tray filled with water. Keep the plant away from full sun exposure but ideally in a bright and humid environment.

  • Care guide:

    Light:
Asparagus ferns thrive in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can cause the delicate leaves to burn. A spot near an east- or north-facing window works well for this plant.

    Watering:
Keep the soil evenly moist, especially during the warmer months. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry, but avoid letting the plant sit in soggy soil. In fall and winter, allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings, as the plant’s water needs decrease during these cooler months.

    Soil:
Use a well-draining potting mix for asparagus ferns. A standard indoor potting soil with added perlite or sand works well, providing the drainage this plant requires to prevent root rot.

    Repotting:
Asparagus ferns grow quickly, so refreshing the soil regularly helps to maintain their health and vigor.

  • Nursery Pot Size:
